RFQ5 is a business operated by Stephen Omukoko Okoth, trading as LeadAfrik, from Nairobi, Kenya. We are subject to the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 (DPA) and supervised by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC). For questions about privacy, write to info@leadafrik.com.
RFQ5 exists to turn a request for quotation into a priced quote, so the data it touches is commercial:
When you draft on the live desk without an account, your price list and the RFQ live only in your browser. They are sent to our server to draft the quote and are not written to any database — when you close the tab, they are gone. It is safe to run a prospect’s own RFQ live in a meeting.
The one exception is deliberate and yours: if you choose “create an approval link” on the desk, that saves that single quote — its lines and the catalogue rows it drew on — for 14 days, so a colleague can open the link, review it and send it. Nothing is saved unless you click that; if you only draft and send by email, nothing is stored at all.
So you do not re-upload your catalogue each time, a paid account keeps your price list and your saved quotes privately under your own organisation. This data is yours. We use it only to draft quotes for you and to run your account. We do not sell it, share it with other customers, or use your price list or quotes to train any model.
To read an RFQ and match its lines, RFQ5 sends the text to a large-language-model provider (Google’s Gemini) purely to perform that extraction and matching. It is used to deliver the service to you, not to train the provider’s models. Prices are never generated by the model — they come only from your own file.
When you send a quote, it goes by email through LeadAfrik’s mail service to the recipient you enter, with any copy address you choose. RFQ5 never emails a quote without your explicit click.
Desk-session data is never stored. Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after, so you can export your quotes. Ask us at any time to export or delete your catalogue and quotes, and we will — subject to any records we must keep by law.
Under the DPA you may access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, and lodge a complaint with the ODPC. To exercise any of these, write to info@leadafrik.com.
We will update this page if RFQ5 changes how it handles data, and note the date at the top. RFQ5 is a LeadAfrik business; the LeadAfrik Privacy Policy covers the wider platform.
